Dr. M. J. Zarabi, Chairman of the Board
Dr. M.J. Zarabi Co-founder of Masamb Electronics Systems, pioneered VLSI design and fabrication effort in India. He has, in fact, been synonymous with the microelectronics activity in India for more than three decades. He was the chairman and Managing Director of India's premier integrated chip manufacturing and R&D company, Semiconductor Complex Ltd. (SCL) from June 1993 to August 2005. Prior to that, he was the Head of Research & Development and later Executive Director in-charge of both R&D and VLSI manufacturing operations of the company. He launched and successfully led a number of technologies and product development projects which has led to the development of an indigenous capability to meet India's strategic requirements in the vital area of microelectronics. As SCL's Chairman & Managing Director, Dr. Zarabi was responsible in building a modern VLSI fabrication facility in 1997. Under his stewardship, SCL also established the only Gallium Arsenide Enabling Technology Centre to design and manufacture Monolithic Microwave Integrated Circuits (MMICs). With his distinguished academic background and industry experience, he is currently advising a few companies of repute and is also on the Boards of Directors of a few other companies that include state owned ECIL & CEL. He is also Honorary Advisor to India Semiconductor Association.
Mithilesh Jha, CEO & MD
Mithilesh Jha Co-founder of Masamb Electronics Systems, has over 25 years of engineering experience in Chip Design and Verification. He held senior management positions all in India at Duet Technologies, Motorola Smart Microelectronics (Now Freescale), Synopsys and Cadence. Mithilesh pioneered CCD device modeling at SCL Chandigarh India resulting in state of art technology for infrared imaging application. A Guru of standard cell library characterization, he led large team of over 75 engineers doing SoC design for wireless application at Motorola. He pioneered Assertion IP development at Synopsys and added great value to Quality Assurance of Extraction and Power Integrity Tools at Cadence. He holds B. Tech Degree in Electrical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur, a premier engineering institute in India.
